INTRASOFT International to provide software services for the European Aviation Safety Agenc

INTRASOFT International is expanding to new geographies. INTRASOFT International selected to provide software services for the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) based in Cologne, Germany.

INTRASOFT International – a subsidiary of INTRACOM IT Services – is to be the lead partner in a joint contract with the Romanian company SIVECO to provide software services to the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Cologne, Germany. The 2-year contract is worth EUR 4 million, of which INTRASOFT International will receive EUR 2.4 million. The contract may also be extended for another two years.

EASA is the centrepiece of the European Union's strategy for aviation safety. Its mission is to promote the highest common standards of safety and environmental protection in civil aviation in Europe and abroad. The agency has 400 professional employees covering all EU Member States and continues to grow as it consolidates its leadership position in Europe. In December 2006 EASA made a landmark achievement with the certfication of the Airbus A380, the world's largest airliner. The responsibilities of EASA are continually growing. It will also be responsible for safety regulations regarding airports and air traffic management systems in the near future.

INTRASOFT is proud to participate in the improvement of aviation safety in Europe by providing EASA with reliable applications which allow them to focus on their core business. Under the contract, INTRASOFT International will provide enterprise content management (ECM) to EASA, delivered either as times and means or fixed price services. These will involve implementation and maintenance of information systems in the areas of web content management, collaboration, and records management and workflow management.

Other services include solution design for business process automation, effectively carrying out strategic and feasibility studies including proof of concept and design of concepts, integration of ECM solutions with existing information systems, and implementation activities including testing, customisation and installation.
