Pharmathen has been awarded the Ruban d’ honneur for its export activity at a ceremony held on 22 November at the Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I in Barcelona where the European Business Awards were presented. 

More specifically the extroverted profile that constitutes the core of Pharmathen’s strategy has once again lead to yet another title for the company, placing it amongst the most dynamic industries in Europe in this year’s European Business Awards. 

In the competition in which hundreds of companies from all over Europe took part, Pharmathen was placed amongst the 10 most powerful companies in the export field, winning the accolade Ruban d’ honneur.

With the triptych: Innovation – Investments – International Expansion, as its main development axis, Pharmathen presented a turnover in 2010 in the region of €130 million while in 2011 it is expected to reach €145 million. At the same time, exports constitute 70% of its total activity, showing rapid growth over the last decade. In addition over the last five years investments totaling €60 million have been made to expand research infrastructure and increase its integration.

This title can now be added to a list of recent and equally significant awards, setting the bar higher for an even more dynamic course» stated the Vice-President of Pharmathen Ms Nelli Katsou, during the award ceremony. 

Since 2007 the European Business Awards have been evaluating and rewarding the most innovative companies in Europe by promoting their business superiority, while they award the title Ruban d’ honneur to the strongest companies participating in the final round.
