Brite Solar named to New England Venture Summit's Top 2011 Innovators List! About BriteSolar Brite was established in 2009 with offices in Greece (R&D) and the US (Marketing / Sales) and is funded by its founders and strategic investors. We are also working on a contract with the Corallia Cluster Initiative that aims at validating our technology for volume production. What are we developing? We develop technology and products for solar windows PanePower™, transparent, colored PV panels, suitable for usage as building windows.
Our technology will enable the mass production of solar panels, which can be used as windows in homes and office buildings. These panels can produce energy using both sunlight and artificial light.
Our solar cells with new composite organic / inorganic lightweight nanostructured materials, contain a solid electrolyte as opposed to competing technologies using a liquid electrolyte that suffers from long term reliability problems. This is the first reference solar cell with competitive performance and cost, based on a solid electrolyte which gives us a very significant technological advantage in developing transparent solar panels.
