Brokerage event for ARTEMIS Call 2012

On 17-18 January 2012, ARTEMIS Industry Association - representing more than 200 members in the embedded systems field - is organising an international Brokerage Event in Prague for candidates to participate in consortia of the 5th ARTEMIS Call for project proposals. The two-day event will provide participants the opportunity to form the first consortia to submit project proposals. The ARTEMIS Call 2012 – due to be launched on 29 February - will focus on selected priority areas in embedded systems fundamental to the long-term competitiveness of European industry. Funding for the Call is expected to be substantial and includes national funding and a matching contribution from the Joint Undertaking itself. Project proposers of the Brokerage Event will be introduced to the work programme and evaluation criteria. The event will be followed by local networking events for consortium building and knowledge acquisition about the ARTEMIS Call and local policy of the ARTEMIS national contact points. The Executive Director of the ARTEMIS Joint Undertaking, Eric Schutz, concluded about the Brokerage Event that “of all the initial project outlines, about one third come from the ARTEMIS Brokerage Event and 83% of these go on to become full project proposals. This is evidence that those projects that passed through the brokerage event clearly have higher quality and increased chances of becoming funded,” said Schutz.

ARTEMIS has partnered with the EUREKA Cluster ITEA2 in the organisation of the last four editions of the Co-summit, as both organisations aim at achieving and maintaining European leadership in the field of Embedded System and Software-intensive Systems and Services.

On 1-2 February 2012, ITEA 2 Project Outline Preparation Days 2012 is organised in Madrid.
